Chantelle called us to for help with her boiler; “ The boiler is working but switches off within a few minutes”.
On a cold night, we sent our engineer Graeme, to investigate. He arrived within an hour and he found the boiler to be lacking water pressure. There was a tiny leak found to be on a radiator pipe. The pipe had been damaged by something hitting the pipe with some force. It had been leaking for a while as evident by water collecting below the damaged pipe. Graeme cut out damaged piece of pipe and soldiered an new piece in. Once repaired and system filled he then serviced the boiler. The home was now warm again. All tested, safe and performing well. Gas Safety report and certificate supplied.

Yasmin from Clapham repair and service – Boiler flue replacement
Yasmin’s boiler was not performing well. It would come on and shut down intermittently. On investigation we found that the flue was needed to be fitted correctly to allow free flow. Joins had been added to keep the gasses coming into the window however , they weren’t allowing fee flow. The exhausted gas was then building up and the boiler was shutting off. We removed the flue and replaced with it with extended pipe to ensure the flu wasn’t close to the window and was free flowing. The boiler is now working well and Yasmin has hot water and heating!

Emergency call out late hours
We provide a free quality assurance check to provide you with the reassurance you need after a late night or early hours emergency job. During normal hours, you receive a debrief of the issues and how we resolved them. We then quality check our engineer’s work. We record on how we could have improved and praise our team for how they managed the situation. No two issues are the same and so we need to maintain vigilance and be dynamic in our approach. Quality assurance really helps sustain these important aspects of our service provision.

How do I arrange a free survey and quote?
Call us on 0204-577-2130 or fill out our online form. We will confirm a convenient time with you directly and shall be in attendance at a time that suits you.
What is the process?
Call us on 0204-577-2130 or fill out our online form. We shall make an appointment with you at the property. We shall measure the dimensions of the proposed room, listen to your ideas and share our expert opinion. Then we shall show you some pictures of similar ideas and discuss your requirements. You choose the appliances, tiles and fittings from a selection we have or you can suggest your own style and then we source them for you at trade price.
We will go away and price all the materials required and send you a quote for the materials and for the labour. Only the materials are charged up front and you pay for the labour once the job is complete and you are completely satisfied.
When will the work commence?
Once we have provided you a quote and you have accepted you will be given a start date. We will work around you to ensure the works are completed at a convenient time for you. We are able to delay to ensure works are carried out as and when you require.
Will I be able to use my bathroom and toilet?
Yes. We will always leave a working toilet. We shall ensure we know the best time to have the bathroom available to you. Obviously there will be times when the toilet will be unusable but we can have this working each evening and will keep you informed. We work around you, so if you have specific requirement to have any of the utilities operational during the works do let us know and we shall accommodate.
Will I have access to Hot and Cold water?
Yes. Your water supply will be in full working order for all the time the work is being carried out. There will be times when there will no water and is only when we are connecting water pipes or replacing tanks or cylinders. This should only be for a few minutes at a time and will let you know well in advance.
Is all work Guaranteed?
Yes. All workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months. All warranties for any parts used will also comply to the manufacturers guarantees. Should any issues arise, please contact us as early as possible to ensure the warranty is still valid and to prevent any potential damage. Where we have to return to make good or repair our works, we shall attend for free and resolve as quickly and efficiently as possible.
How long will it take?
On average a bathroom can take around 6 days but does depend on size and options discussed in your vision. New windows or extra bathroom appliances such as bidets for example.
What if I have a complaint?
We have a formal complaints procedure and will be initiated on request by emailing contact@greatbritainservices.co.uk, or by calling our office on 0204-577-2130.
